My MCV and Doomsday - Visitor

At present, Shenhai City seemed to be surrounded by the tide of zombies. In fact, some mutant zombies were lurking in that terrible tide. Many survivors had given up to go hunting outside. Even Jiang Liushi felt that it was quite dangerous to wonder in the first district of Shenhai Island. He indeed needed to get mutant nuclei, the more, the better. However, where could he get so many mutant nuclei?
The military was strictly controlling the mutant nuclei because of the study of the crystallization of evolution. If he bought mutant nuclei from survivors’ squads, the price would be higher, and the number would be limited. Moreover, Jiang Liushi knew that his wealth didn’t amount to much at the moment. Of course, Jiang Liushi still had one level-1 mutant nucleus, but he kept as precautionary measures, in case any unexpected happened.
Jiang Liushi estimated that per his MCV’s autonomy modification function, at least fifteen to twenty first-level mutant nucleus would be needed for all the upgrades. He’d need a terrifying amount of wealth to procure so many nuclei. All those calculations were for his minibus. The mining truck and the minibus shared the same power, but the mining truck’s defensive functions were weaker than the minibus. After all, the mining truck was just another of the MCV’s forms, meaning that it was taking its form from the deformation of the MCV, not the minibus.
However…once the minibus transformed to that mining truck, its steel parts would be increased to hundreds of dozen tons, and the special alloys which enhanced the defense would mix with the mining truck. Jiang Liushi had to pay a hefty price to strengthen the mining truck and equip it with level-1 special alloy.
[It’s a pity. We killed lots of mutant mice in Tongnan City. Although they were not the level-1 mutant beasts, they should at least have a mutant nucleus in their body…] Jiang Liushi thought.
“Let’s wait for the zombie tide to weaken, and we’ll go hunting outside…” Jiang Liushi said.
At that moment, a knocking sound came from the door.
“Ah?” Jiang Liushi was stunned, looking toward Ran Xiyu, who was still calm. Jiang Liushi was really cautious because of Chu Chongshan.
“There’s only one person outside the door. He should be an ordinary person. I don’t feel any obvious malicious intent coming from him.” Ran Xiyu said.
Jiang Liushi then nodded, and Sun Kun ran to open the door. When he opened the door, a man wearing a military uniform came. Jiang Liushi glanced at the man’s epaulets, two bars, and a star. It turned out he was a Major. Of course, after doomsday, strength was more important. A military rank wouldn’t amount to anything if one hadn’t soldiers to follow their commands.
“You are…” Jiang Liushi had some doubts. He had never seen that person before, and he did not know about that person’s intentions.
The officer was of average height and dark-skinned, and he was smiling brightly. “I am a staff member of the Central Military Commission, and I am here to see Mr. Jiang.”
“Oh?” Jiang Liushi was a little surprised, “You came to meet me? What for?” After all, Jiang Liushi was especially vigilant when it came to military officers.
Going to someone else’s turf was not wise.
The officer noticed Jiang Liushi’s hostility, so he smiled and said, “Mr. Jiang, you shouldn’t worry. I’m not one of Chu Chongshan’s subordinates, and my Commander-in-chief has nothing to do with him. If possible, could Mr. Jiang, please follow me to meet my Commander? He’s waiting for you to enjoy a good pot of Longjing tea
“Ah?” Jiang Liushi felt surprised.
After doomsday, even Cola could be regarded as a luxury, not to mention a pot of tea. Shenhai Island was close to the place Longjing tea was made. Before the doomsday, just a pound cost a dozen dollars, but a pound of the authentic Longjing tea reached tens of thousands of dollars.
Jiang Liushi was wondering what the Chief Commander wanted to discuss with him. He looked at Ran Xiyu, and Ran Xiyu nodded, which meant that the officer wasn’t lying. At least, it seemed it wasn’t one of Chu Chongshan’s traps.
